Anyone know if i'd be able to turbo my XR2i engine by basically strapping on a blower?

I Know i'd need all the relevant bits and bobs that make the turbo engine different from the XR But can it be done using the standard head and block?

I know i'd only be able to run low boost and would be risking blowing my engine sky high but it would be a laugh!

Any idea on cost using second hand parts?

Cheers

i wouldn't do it m8, differnt gudgeon pins would be needed, and pistons. It is the same block and head right down to the cam, but the block has a turbo oil feed return tapped into it. The 2i one doesn't.
