I recently got told that if i wanted to use a unichip, i would have to get a second chip to bypass the over boost protection, is this true ? or should i just stick with my Superchip stage 1 ?
cheers,
Greg

Yep, it sits in the dianostic port and removes the boost limit.

It cost me £587 for the unichip module, boost limit chip, and fitting. The good thing about them is that you can add units onto the unichip, 5th injector, boost controller etc. It can also be used to run a zetec if I go down that route. I shall be getting it remapped when i`ve finished the T3 conversion.

Mike, i am still running the standard injectors as i only have 161bhp @ 10psi. I am waiting until my standard turbo goes then get a hybrid and larger injectors etc.....saving money now!!

Snake, cheers, i had heard that once you pay the initial cost of getting the chip, etc.. then it can easily be re-mapped, which obviously saves on buying a new Superchip
