Universal joint for power steering

Postby Norbertas on Mon Jul 08, 2013 4:15 pm

Hi,
i'm looking for lower universal joint for mk3 power steering rack (95fb-3550-aa)
The standart (non power steering) universal joint doesn't fit - the end of it is different.
So i'm trying to find the right one for it. Any ideas of what joint fit it? As i understand its the same as KA and Puma. Does the ones from escorts or mondeos fit?
To make sure, i need a code for it. As i understand they differ.

you will need the whole steering collumn to run power steering as the UJ is part of the collumn, you will also need the rubber boot that the shaft goes through

Do the joints (knuckles) differ in puma, or it is the same in all models?

Or i can just buy this knuckle and conect its lower part to my original one.

Or i am missing here something

not as simple as that...

all you need is the shaft really. but it has to be a power steering one, the uj is part of it.

if you get the puma one it may be ok, or to long or to short. there are plenty of people around breaking fiesta SI's, on here and ebay

you can use your existing outer collumn and ignition barrel section
