Updated 03/09/2002 My 16v Zetec turbo. Pics and full spec.
Now that the ££££'s are starting to build up, I'd thought I'd post some updated pics and spec.
Photos
This shot was taken ages ago, back in 2000, but it's the best shot of the front
I have!
These are the funlumps! Stop sooooo much better than the standard pooe!
You really notice it more when you brake from high speeds,
ie. braking from 70 or above. Brilliant!
If you do fit them tho, make sure you use lots of thread-lock to avoid the
caliper mounting bolts coming loose.
Also, note how close the caliper is to those alloys. Got about a 5mm clearance there!
More recent phots (30 March 2002):
Count the tyres!
My new Zetec engine
These shots were taken on Ashdown forest, about 1 minute's walk from Pooh bridge, if you're interested.
This is (from back to front) my friend's Starlet GT Turbo, and another mate's MR2 Turbo and, or course, my FRST.
Give my mate's website a visit for more on his Starlet and a few other cars...
There you go!
Latest spec

Brakes:
Wheels and tyres:
Bodywork:

Security:
Future plans

Very Nice Indeed! Who blended the RS2K skirts for you? Are they blended on to the original RST skirts? Looks top nutter! Not much else you can do is there now? About time for a mag feature i believe?

Cheers, chap.
The skirts were blended by a local bodyshop (who did all the rest of the work, too) called Owlsbury Coachworks. Check my feature out from this site's main page for contact details.
They're not grafted over the original items, actually, the old stuff has been removed completely. The skirts are actually made to fit an escort and had to be trimmed and cut *a lot* to fit them (this was back in late '98, you understand! Fibresports probably make a set to fit the fiesta now). I think my car was the first to ever have these skirts fitted.
About the feature - It's already had a Fast Ford feature back in July 1999 under the previous owner (just to jog your memory, the issue had a black ERST on the cover with a WRC bumper and "RS" carved out of the bonnet). I'll be looking at getting another feature after I get the new engine and the 16's.

Cheers.
Think the Clio is faster, but fairly close. Will hopefully take both cars to a 1/4 mile strip, and me and Charlie are gonna race em. To see what they both can do.

Yeah do that...
Then get the Fezzy turboed (a nice 300bhp should do it) and do it again, just to uphold the marque of Uncle Henry!

Yeah, but that's only in the first pic isn't it. That one was taken about 2 years ago, so I think I've fixed it since then!

BRING IT ON.
*** Update *** Engine is run in now! Yay!. Only running 10psi until I get it mapped, however.

The fogs in the bumper are wired up to work like the fogs in the old bumper, the extra driving lights in the old bumper have obviously been removed. The new indicators are not wired up, they have an orange tint in them just for effect but the original indicators are still being used.

Jeff - Yes, it's a 2.0 Mondy lump with low comp pistons which take it to over 2 litres, so I just say 2.1 for ease - plus it sounds better.
Lou - I'll be taking people out at phatman's meet probably. Make sure you're there! But do bear in mind that it's still only running 10psi!!

Dunno really. At 10 psi probably around 180? Should run a genuine 300 @ the fly when it's setup running 20 psi boost. Similar spec engines have done the same and more so fingers crossed.
