Upgrade 2i in RS Turbo
I'm here because in France it is difficult to find information about the conversion of a 2i RS Turbo , so I'm looking for information and advice
The goal is to have a 160-170Bhp road car, it is possible with less than 14psi?
Already I want from a OFAC as it seems that the conversion 2i -> OFAC is the simplest in addition the car is intended for road use so less 14psi
Sensors which must in addition or change to the 2i for use with OFAC?
For simplicity I think not mount Amal valve but a boost valve, what do you think?
Otherwise I began to list what I need:
- Fuel Pump RS Cosworth turbo or
- OFAC + sensor + Powerchip (165 or 195?)
- T2 (or T25?) + Exhaust manifold and original RS Turbo (or larger?)
- Intake Manifold RS Turbo + intercooler
- Injector RS Turbo (or beige?)
- Change the pistons to reduce compression
- Cylinder head gasket thicker and stronger
- Cylinder head bolts
- Back oil solder in the sump
- Original camshaft RS Turbo or ???
You see other things I have forgotten?
Thank you for your help

Re: Upgrade 2i in RS Turbo
Well, finally I found a OFAB loom
Apparently it is compatible with the Loon passenger compartment on XR2i with 1AFA

Re: Upgrade 2i in RS Turbo
When i turbo'd my 2i i used everything from a frst,im on ofab an it plugged straight into my 2i car loom.you will need the ofab sensors map, inlet and amal valve.if your building it from bits im sure ( correct me if im wrong) head an cam, inlet manifold, throttle body, injectors, fuel pump, tps, iscv are all the same as frst.
Your need a frst bottom end as pistons are diffrent an block will also have turbo oil return but you can use the 2i sump.your also need frst manifold an exhaust ,unless you go t3 turbo where your need an ERST 1 and ERST Downpipe an mske it fit the frst exhaust.
If your only going to use a 165 chip standard injectors an fuel pump is fine with about 12psi after that its 195chip with beige injectors an uprated pump, hope this helps you out, like i say please correct any bits i may have got wrong
