Upgrading chip
I currently have a Collins stage 1 unlimited chip on my escort. As far as im aware it has a piper t2 cam, -31 actuator but im not sure what boost it is running. Its roughly 175bhp.
If i was to upgrade to a stage 2 or even stage 3 chip what else would i need to upgrade on the car also why?
thanks

i have uprated brakes already and have been playing with the idea of a lerger intercooler for a while.
so should i get intercooler first then upgrade the chip?
Its the injector bit what confuses me, how would i got about getting a fifth injector? would a pwer boost valve compensate for a fifth injector?
sorry for all questions
thanks

You might as well get the larger intercooler as this will lower your ACTs, which can only be a good thing. Once you have the larger intercooler you are ready for higher boost, as long as the rest of the eninge is too.

The basic rule of tuning is :
The std bottom end can take approx 50% more power, so from the std 132bhp it should take another 60ish bhp. But thats NOT always the case, it depends on how well the car has been looked after.
If your heading for 200bhp you WILL need to upgrade the bottom end, fuelling, turbo, I/C and headwork will also be needed.
Get it done properly first time or you will regret it later.
The MFi fuelling can be upgraded and 5th injectors are not the best. As for the power boost valve, check your other post

5th injector?
<slap>!
Don't be a plum Ian!
Why am i a plum?
If not a 5th injector then there is a modification to the MFI system that a lot of the RSOC chaps have started and it allows the cars to be setup without one..
