Uprated bearing BC RS1800 box for sale

Postby Project on Sat Jul 26, 2003 2:45 pm

I have a 1992 BC-type RS1800/XR2i 16v gearbox for sale. It's a direct swap with any other BC gearbox and uses the uprated bearings which later became the iB5 bearings.

I'm not sure of the exact ratios but 4th and 5th are slightly shorter than the XR2i 8v ratios - you get 4,000rpm in 5th a 80, so it's a bit buzzy for motorway cruising but excellent for acceleration.

I'm getting shot of it as I've fitted a diesel (long ratio) box.

I'm looking for £50 for it (I could ask more - I paid £80 at easter but I just want it out of the way and any money I get back is a bonus! ).

Mail me at projectst2000 at hotmail.com or reply here if you're interested or have any queries!

Keep your eyes and ears open for a Fiesta or Escort Diesel BC or iB5 box (front mount starter). iB5 boxes use a different clutch release bearing ;)
