Usual conversion, annoying PATS
Hi boys and girls iv been a member for some time now but havnt actually said hi yet. Mainly due to the fact i didn't own a fiesta when I registered and well the forum seems dead now, which is a shame. Hopefully am wrong though and there's still plenty of people on here
I now have a mk3 fiesta 1.1 and have also bought a 2l mk2 mondeo and will be doing the ever popular conversion. Unfortunately it's a PATS mondeo so not the easiest of starts. My original plan was to just buy a 1.6 wiring loom and deep/desk/dewy ecu but since I have the entire mondeo could I use it's loom and ecu and just transfer the PATS into my fiesta? So basically having PATS in my fiesta and allowing me to run the engine using it's original loom and ecu. I can't see why it wouldn't work as I will have everything needed to do this but would this be too complicated and id just be better of getting a 1.6 wiring loom and 2l non pats ecu? If it will be simple enough what would I need to take of the mondeo to make it work?
I've read many guides about PATS but can't seem to find anything about installing in a car.
Any advice would be muchly appreciated and sorry my first post had to be about PATS

Hey,
Well, I guess you are right in that the forums are pretty much dead nowadays.
I'd recommend getting a Fiesta Loom and DEEP/DESK/DEWY ecu as to use PATS you would need the internal loom from the Mondeo too and the Mondeo key for the PATS to trigger.
Is it doable? Yes
Would I do it? Nope...the extra work will likely bring more issues.
Hope you still have the Fiesta, there aren't enough of them around Aberdeen any more!!
Cheers
