ok, so the zetec is a good if not great engine, but i get boared very quickly, and i fancy a chalenge. i can easily get my hands on a next to new Honda 2.0 v-tech, which without discracing the zetec, is a superiour engine delivering considerably more power then the ford equivelent. i understand that there will more than likely be alot of reconstrucion under the bonet. So, what im asking for is any v-tech experience and advice if at all possible??. thanx , marco.

The V-tech engine is a superb naturally aspirated engine, but at least with a Zetec they like being turbo'd and you will get lots more power.
I would guess that a V-tech would be expensive, to buy and for parts.

cheers

vtec's and any honda engine (even the little ohc lawnmower) engines are great

you'll need to use the honda gearbox as theres not enough room in the fiesta bay for a bellhousing adaptor.

Mad Man!!

Go for it though

the problems will be all of the mounting point are going to be completely wrong (at a guess!) but as mr marky mark said honda engines are completly solid engines that will go forever and then some!!

look @ a honda engine!!!!!!!!!!! they are backwards?? i.e they rotate in the opposite direction and the gearbox is on the other end so it will be a major job to install, not saying it can't be done but it will not be easy. why not start off with the 2.2 prelude mota must be a few of those about by now.
