V6 into an si

hi yall have had the 2.0 zetec put in my si but know after 4k miles am bored so would like 2.5 V6 in duratec that is the one from the mondeo st24 i know they have 170bhp and a hell of alot of torque so want one in mine does anyone know someone thats had it done i know its possible just want to know how much messing about (to say it politely) is involved cheers o and have they got 2 cats on the v6 as if so should be alot more than 170bhp with no cats on more like 185

it car but will cost money,

bespoke engine mounts driveshafts, custom manifolds inet and exhaust, not o mention the electrics polava

for the money involved - turbo the zetec

I think it may have been done before at some point, don't quote me on that though. I think Scort is doing a rwd twin turbo with that v6 lump in his escort.

The problem is having all that weight over the front wheels. I would imagine it will make understeering easy.

yeah it would put alot of weight over but i dont really do circuit stuff more of a pod goer love outright speed and accelerating

Yeah but what happens in your local bypass rinsathon when you get to a roundabout? Plough right through it?

yes your very right however like i said not really into going fast round corners especially in the wet i drive really carefull in the wet and ice only cane it on straights

oversteer would be stupid get a zetec turbo money you would of spent on that you would be able to get one also more gain for the money

true however i need something for everyday i use my car as a van more of a work horse with abit of performance on it a zetec turbo engine would be rubish if i' starting it up and just going to work thats 5 mins down the road and then half an hour later having to drive to somewhere else thats 30 mins away all of the switching on switching off and boosting the car with it cold would make it tough on the engine whereas a V6 engine would love it start it up wait a min for it to get warn and bobs your uncle

look at mapped throttle bodies then as the v6 is well not a too bright idea
