Vanaaken turbo conversion

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

Postby Andy Si on Tue Oct 23, 2001 7:32 am

I've just spoke to Vanaaken re: a turbo conversion and was quoted £3400 exc VAT.

That would take the motor to 150bhp with 170lb/ft of torque (so the guy said)

Just a tad out of my price range

Trust me m8 they aint got a clue about things! Jokers in my book! Took my cousins Series 1 down to get it rolling road set up and have a talk about future engine mods. They started talking do-do about how the car werent performing and the clutch had gone amongst other things!! Basically saying it were fooked!

So we turned round and waved goodbye! I'll stick with my reliable source! Knows more then they do for sure!

P.S. We knew why it werent performing... we hadnt connected the dumpvalve up properly that morning before leaving in a rush!

Missed response I guess but as far as I'm aware they don't touch RST's anymore and only work on Jap and newer models.

Shame because the chap there who I spoke to was a regular of the RS Board! He seemed really nice and they did a good job on the Supra we took to be chipped.

If you want your car tuned perfectly go to TDI - Torque Developments International!! They are seriously HOT at tuning turbo'd chariots amongst normally aspirated ones!
