yes matey, ive got em on my fes, cost a fair amount, but well worth the money imo, the engine is completely solid and will stay like that for some time i expect, the car feels more responsive compared when i put the new standard mounts in as it just doesnt move!!

Cheers, I ordered some at lunchtime (£92 for 2 gearbox ones) as mine are completely shagged and the cross over pipe has been hitting the underside of the bonnet.

Just gutted they don't make the engine one.

May i ask where from mate. My cross over pipe is touching the bonnet aswell. Is there only three mounts and you get the third from Ford?
Approx cost anyone?

Thanks

That was from Amber Performance mate.

The engine mount has to come from ford apparently as Vibra don't make one but I dread to think how much it would cost.

Only three mounts, 2 for the front and back of the gearbox and the engine mount.

Thanks!
I'm going to get the gearbox mounts aswell, i'll ring Amber tomorrow and order them, but i'm planning on doing the ZVH conversion in December so i will need to modify the remaining 'engine' mount, so i'll get a new one then.

Thanks for your help

People on here say if you are getting ford mounts to get the diesel mounts as these are stronger than the FRST mounts.
Might be worth knowing if you are going to get 1 ford mount.

U hav to modify the desiel mount to fit the RST i think i remeber some1 saying, ive got Vibratech mounts and rather than the engine vibrating IN the car, the engine vibrates the car!

Bit of a pain, not sure if they r worth an extra £45 over originals though. At least it's another fix done properly.

Did mine yesturday, not too bad a job, needed some tools i didn't expect to need, like a 15mm and 18mm socket and spanner (though that almost all bolts on Fords are 17 or 19) Its a pain in the backside to get the engine cradle back ont he new mounts, i loosened the front mounts bolts which connect it to the gearbox to give a little flexibility then tightened them all back up once its on.
Engine doesn't move more than 1/4 of an inch now, delighted with the Vibratechs

Thanks

Your right, they do vibrate the car, but they don't half make the car feel better. One of the old ford ones fell apart when I took it off.

Errr approx 165 i think, but after reading a thread about Bajoo chips i'm not sure. Engine improvements are-

Rebuilt 1600cc
Kent Camshaft
T25 Hybrid Turbo
Ram Air Filter
Scorpian Exhaust
Amhed Bajoo 165 Chip and actuator running 14psi (on Nomad Gauge)
EBC Clutch
Standard injectors, intercooler etc etc

Thanks

You are running a standard intercooler on that setup :aaah: :aaah: :aaah:

Dude get something better. You will be losing power on that pissy intercooler. At the very least get a pace intercooler or better yet get the GRS one GavRST has. It fit's right in the middle of a standard FRST bumper and gives much lower temps for lots of power

With that and your setup you should be getting around 175-180bhp

Yep, standard i/c for now, i'm planning a full zetec conversion around xmas time when my garage is finished (1/2 way through construction now) and i thought it may be in my best interest to fit a bigger rad and intercooler at that time, rather than fit it now and have to modify it if, say, a pipe is in the wrong place, or interferes with another pipe or something.
Just wondering about my injectors as to whether they need changing etc.

Thanks

Matt

Hi there,

I'm also running on Vibratech (fast road.. Fiesta MK3,Escort mk4) mounts.. and a Diesel Engine mount
(just a small adjustent has to be made.. and costs the same as the FRST one does)

just file up the slots of the original mount from 10 to 12mm .. and use a bolt wich will go straight thru the mount in stead of 2 seperate threads.

Vibratech vibrates your car for sure.. but the feel is WAY better..

and ehhm .. i was running 175BHP on a T2 at 14 psi .. with the standard I/C ... still looking for a bigger (pace/GRS) one. .
