I'm looking for an MK5 Escort 1.6i Convertible ideally which has been fitted with the Escort Cosworth bodykit, wheels, bumpers to make it a replica Cossie Lux.

Theres a guy that lives near me that has one but the git won't sell it!

If anyone knows anybody that owns one please get in touch.

Have you tried a 1.6i mk4 cabby instead. It should be cheaper on insurance, and it so happens i may have one for sale in the near future.

well ideally i'd like an MK5 [ERRR] it's a bit new if you get me.

I'm hoping to find one that's had a 1.6 RS Turbo lump fitted but it must have started life as a 1.6i, because the insurance company alloys me to have a turbocharged engine upgrade as a FREE MODIFICATION!!! As long as the capacity doesn't exceed the original 1600cc

But I'll check out the MK4 1.6i idea.

that is very strange. what company's have you tried?

I'm with Frizzell mate (Liverpool Victoria) they're well cheap and let you mod everying for free (apart from engine capacity), so NOS, turbos and superchargers are all free! as long as the capacity don't change.

So they're great but quite a few cars go into one of their catagories meaning you have to be 21 or 25 to own
