Wanted: Zetec 2.0 Powered Fiesta
Hi,
I am posting on behave of a friend, who is deciding to buy a Zetec 2.0 powered Fiesta or a VTR. Because I don't really want him to buy a VTR, I'm seeking a Zetec 2.0 for him...
So please people, show me what you got.
Budget is maximum 2,500, but of course the cheaper the better.

2. Proper Zetec 2.0 conversion done, non-turbo
3. Prefer an Si
4. No rust, or only tiny repairable rust
5. Prefer less than 100k miles done
6. Prefer not too many mods done (especially exterior)
7. 3-door
8. Prefer NOT white car
9. MOT and tax preferred
Thanks.

surely for £2500 you could buy a 16v si and have the conversion done yourself. mmogenius does this conversion, £700 for everything. he'll offer you about £80 for your old engine too. this is what he told me anyway
car probably wont be modded or anything but 2.0 fiestas are very rare anywayz
btw remind him that a 2.0 fez would not only completely and utterly destroy a vtr, but it would probably (from what i've heard) destroy a vts too

Arent the series 3 engines a nightmare to fit?
Are they easier to go in a MK3.5?

sphinx :Yeah but thier still a nightmare 2 fit aint they?
Depends on what you think is a nightmare. Going from a HCS to CVH is not too bad, so it would be the same depending which series zetec you get.

Well i'm planning on goin from the 1.6 series 2 zetec in my Si to the series 2 2.0 in mondeo's purly cos its a simple(ish) conversion.
I'd LOVE to get a black top 2.0 in there but after reading excursions site on how 2 fit 1, i'm goin off the idea.

PaulC :Going to another series 2 will be easy enough Pretty much a straight swap.
So... If its so easy how come YOU didnt do your 1.0 -> 1.6 converstion then?

Cos I havent got the all tools to do it and 1.0 isnt that easy to convert?
Two zetecs are both injected, so fuel tank is the same, fuel lines are the same, and dont neeed to touch the car loom.
Sswapping a zetec for a different zetec is not as big a job compared to swapping a HCS to a zetec

XR2i Chick :Well you put a 1.6 in didnt see the point there either!
A valid point, a 1.0 is too slow tho
Plus the exhaust manifold was broke and would have meant probably f*cking the 1.0 completely anyway when trying to the the manifold off.
