Wanted - Zetec engine

Need a certain part or accessory?

Postby Project on Tue Jun 12, 2001 7:08 pm

Does anybody know of a Zetec engine going for sale, with fiesta mounts. I'm looking for a 2.0L, but I think I'm gonna need a 1.6 or 1.8 as a parts donor for the alt, sump, water pump, oil pump, flywheel, etc etc etc.

I've got a 1600 zetec for sale. It's still got the sump, oil pump, flywheel, performance clutch etc still on it.

I'm located in Rushden (about 8 miles away from where FITP was). I don't have a fuel tank or pump spare. The engine has got flywheel, clutch, sump, throttle body, inlet & oulet manifolds all for the fiesta. I'm not sure about the alternator mounts, water & oil pumps but if you're really interested I can take a trip & have a look 4 ya. Looking at about £130 depending on what's there. Let me know. Cheers

The bottom end comes with, pistons, new rings, the bores have been honed, crank has been reground and conrods. It needs big end bolts (they're cheap, oil and water pump and a sump. All of these are easily sourced from the scrappy's in the auto trader. The pistons are from a pre 97 mondeo, so you can skim them to give a compression ratio of 8:3:1. if you're goinna turbo it! I'll let it go for £185

Zetec69... I'm gonna give this one some serious thought.

Turbo Junkie, I can't see how I'm gonna be able to manage this one - I'll still have to buy the entire top end, too.

Grrrrr! Why can't the bloody things work well!
