Just wondering if anyone has used water injection succesfully and if so was it a home made setup or a shop bought one?
I,m thinking of making one but I,m not sure about water finding its way into the map sensor or idle valve, any ideas?
cheers.

Why??, you`re better off with a decent intercooler/chargecooler

I'm with Snake on this one....you'd be better spending the money on a chargecooler with a large water reservoir. Plus, with water injection, if the water runs out and you're bootin' it, say hello to detonation and possible a nice melted set of pistons

I've already got a home made chargecooler that seems to work well,I'm just one of those people that can't stop messing!
Once I,ve blown the bottom end to bits I'll do it properly and go the zvh route but money won't allow it at the moment!

JJ, I believe it was you I bought my Superchip from,I've managed to peak the the boost to nearly 19psi before dropping back to 16psi continuously(with no detonation) by using cossie yellows with high fuel pressure,I want to run the water injection as a way of giving the pistons a bit longer to live.
Make more sense to get another chip mapped really but I thought I'd wait until I go ZVH.
Cheers

I think you`ll also find that water injection is used only as a last resort and reduces engine power or it doesn`t increase it.. Rig up an ACT gauge to see what u are getting..
