If your HCS is a CFi engine, the answer is NO NO NO

running carbs will require a dizzy to fire

there is no hole in the block to run a dizzy so no carbs

sorry

I think you'll find that twin 40's would be far too big for a 1.3 engine! Unless you're running race cams, race head, race zorst etc.

theres loads of 1.3SR's around on twin 40's. but then again they are novaboys and they treat their cars like s**t!

There was a special edition of the Nova wasn't there, with Irmscher cams and head, and twin 40's. Very thirsty and stank of petrol by all accounts.

Graham,
Yes, your right, there was. It was sold with all the bits on from new. Years ago a friend had one - great for road rallying because you are not allowed to change the number of carbs and this came with them as standard.

If I remember correctly the accelerator was very sharp either fully on or fully off!!!

nova sport, made 2 versions of it!

one was fitted with a high torque cam and the other with a std sr type. (103 and 98 bhp i think) both ran twin 40s, irmsher intake and irmsher red zorst :)

only ever 502 ever made!

vikki butler henderson's white nova in the jeremy clarkson vid started life as a sport.

theyre fookin rapid aswell!!!!
