The oil separater does as the original but i bought 1 because the oil the orignal seperator spits into the engine bay when over filled or whatever now drains back into the sump.
Apparently the original sepator strugles when running higher boost.
The swirl pots seem like a gimic, not sure though.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The water swirl pot is meant to spin the water as it flows and gets rid of any bubbles which can cause an air trap in your coolant pipes....................but................... Ford already thought of that as your thermostat housing does it
