What are vale guides???

Think thats how he spelt it. some geezar said his turbo is smoking a lot because they need to be fixed or replaced. is it expensive?

What the hell are they? lol

well someones talknig a bit funny, the valve guides are actually in the head, not the turbo, if these are worn, you normally get smoke on fire up. If the turbo is smoking, then the seals inside it are going. 2 different faults. Maybe both are on their way, would have to investigate.

i guess this person meant his FRST is smoking..

it could well be due to the a valveguide.... and it could cause the car to smoke during normal use..

The valveseals could be the cause when it smokes during startup... , but if they are really gone.. it could case smoke @ normal use..

to renew the valveseals the head doesn't need lifting..
to renew the valveguide .. it needs lifting..
