I use a good quality dot 4 on the escort and fiesta as there less likely to absorb moisture and on the cossie i use castrol srf.

When i was building my FRST i thought i'd get brand new brake (disc's, pads and fluid) i got a good bargin from sonny @ ESP design. he recomended to go with EBC all round.
The brake are smoother and sharper than the standard stuff.
Reall happy with it

just be careful - 5.1 is a better brake fluid and can handle higher temps, but it is designed for race cars where the fluid would be changed all the time (sometimes for every race). it will not last as long as dot 4 and should be regularily renewed

I use Dot-4 on track and have no issues with it despite being a bit of a hooligan (apparently).
Problem with brake fluid is most people don't realise it absorbs moisture from the air (hygrascopic I beleive is the term but await correction) and as such should be changed every 2 years

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
