the thing is the 2i 8v duz not like 2 play the game
u can get all the stuf u wont but it will give u 136bhp and 123tor

the thing is u can not get the air in u wont 2 get the big power, :(
(i no i have dun lot's 2 my car) about 3g

so i say get small bit's like zorst(magnex good 4 tor )if thats wot u wont
air filter and a cam (not a race get fast road)
and thats it.
it will cost u about £600(if u do the work)
and u will get about 124bhp 2 129bhp

p.s chip's r ok they let u rev 2 8000rpm
but they can not do alot 2 the n/a efi(but that mit b me)

(thats wot i think)

You could use an 1.9 bottom, it will give you 130bph straightaway.

then tuning it further (cam with mechanical tappets) will increase it even more and the max revs pulled up to 8000 RMP without any hassle.

I had a XR2I 2 years ago and what i had done was

Big valve lean burn head modded for the EFI inlet
Kent 27 cam, solid tappets, twin springs
Standard C/R FRST 0.5mm over size pistons
FRST crank
Uprated injectors
lighten flywheel
C/R of 10.5:1 by skimming the head by 160thou
Custom map Super chip
Zorst manifold

In the end it had 150bhp and it was still a 1.6 :)

Quick question - how did you get the lean burn head to work with the domed pistons of the XR2i?

If you want to know more then Give HT Racing a bell, I used FRST pistons [ERRR] there flat top pistons with valve pocket in them to clear the open valves with the Kent 27

if u have small mod,s the go 4 a std super chip think £240
if u have big mods then u will have 2 go 2 super chip and get
a full custom super chip that's £240 + time on the R.R think it's £150 4 60 min's that's wot i had dun cost me about £550 i think.

p.s 150 bhp that's a lot wot R.R was that as i have a bigger spec than
u and i get just 136bhp
