What chip for 2l Si???

someone offered me a chip for a xr2i 16v. can i use it for my 2l si??? and will it give any performance??? it's for one before 1994, so i dont know if it will work with my 1995 model. can someone help???

i dont think it will work, as the two ecu codes may be different.

i have one from a xr2i 16v from after 1994, so from one of the last xr2i models.

the chip is from superchips (not sure if those are used in the uk). it was in a 1992 xr2i 16v.
