Had the same problem with mine they dont seem to like the hard launches .
You could try fitting a new clutch kit (plates/release bairing i got 1 for a rs turbo and it was fine.
Try to get a one from a ford dealer as i have notices the relase bairing work a little better.
Replace the clutch cable and that will give it a better feel and faster responce as the standard fiesta clutch cables arnt the best and should be regularly cheacked along with the clutch pedal hight which you should give a check.
The clutch pedal should be just higher than the brake peadle as if its not set right it could be wot is causing the clutch to burn straight away under power.
You could try a better gearbox it would help put the power down a bit better as my 1.6 box didnt last long on hard launches mabe a rs1800 or rs turbo gear box (with the lsd) ither can be picked up at a resonable price.
