:o 2k thats a nice chunk of change.

right with this sort of money u can have a zetec turbo but thats gonna be the basic price some 1 like Mr Howell is gonna charge a few £££ more to have him build u 1. OR u can go down th N/A route, Jay from XFactor has 2.0ltr in his rs1800 and hes producing a cool 175bhp which is pretty good and from what i've hered its very quick. this is done with some cams and head work. not sure on the exact speak so u might want to get in touch with him but i thin k Ian Howell had something to do with it too.

i was just thinking about the point you made re: 1900 stage 3. that is undoubtedly a CVH 8v turbo engine which would be a step-back for your Mk3.5.

I'd recommend a 2.0l conversion as you were planning initially. £2000 will not be enough for a decent Zetec Turbo conversion in my opinion. Some people WILL argue this.

As Robin said have a word with Jay or Snake of X-Factor re: cam, headwork, ecu upgrade etc. Although I will point out THINK about what you want to do. If you really want a Zetec Turbo conversion in the future i'd suggest just putting the 2.0l engine in and making sure it is running fine and well and then save a little more and go the full hog once you have the dollars!

you'd get about 170ish of pure power.

to be honest that price they gave you was EXPENSIVE!! i say get the 2.0l running and save another £1000 and get yourself to Ian Howell for a fab turbo conv on it. :)

2.0 n/a conversion is the way to go :)
BUT also think about upgrading the brakes, if your still running the standard s**t ones. not sure what setup to use, but they can cost quite a bit after buying calipers, pads an disks etc. worth doin or u will be asking fro trouble.

gud luck.
