My car is dying!!! it's a 1.0 g reg mk3 with the looks of a nice quick car. problem is it seems to be dying. the engine starts fine but can suddenly start sounding really rough! like for instance today on the way back from work i was waiting at a roundabout when it started to chug severley so i reved it a bit and no change foot to the floor now and it just slowly dies. It starts again straight away and runs fine for the rest of my journey!this has happened 3 times now!!! It also gets a bit of overrun occasionally but i've been told this could be due to carbon buuildup on the valves. Anyone any other ideas as to what it could be and how to fix it? All help much appreciated.

Probably a bit of cack going into the carb, strip and clean it. If there is dirt inside the bowl, fit an inline filter to the system..
