What Engine?

Postby Mike on Mon Feb 24, 2003 8:36 am

I have got a J reg 1.3 Ghia and I fancy swapping the engine.
I nearly bought a 2i engine from paul on here but I have been advised against it because there are too many other bits that need changing.

I will be coming into a little bit of money this week and I would like to change my engine soon, but what engine drops straight into my car??

Any help would be appreciated, and if anyone has got an engine that does fit then please let me know.

I've put a 1600 xr2 engine in mine (out of a mk2). They are a dodle [ERRR] theres no ecu. just a connect the xr2 engine wires to the big plug under your ESC thing, rip the ESC box thing out and walla' done.

all you need is the xr2 engine and box, engine lomb, xr2i exaust, xr2i radiator and fan, and the hoses from a 2i.... oh plus a few jubliclips!

Uprate your brakes or you will DIE!!!!!!

Mine goes well and i'm well happy with it. :D :D :D
