What is this brown bare wire on iso adapter? (Picture)

if its the standard ford to iso lead then

Sorry should have explained, its not a Ford to ISO. Its for a 306, which already has ISO connections, its the set of leads from the back of the headunit, to the ISO connections.
Basically I had just a headunit, and ordered this lead.
But now have just this brown wire... that I'm not sure what its meant to be connecting to...

looks like it could possible go next to the yellow wire on the left hand side.
Did you order off the net ? or from a shop ?
ask for another one if your unsure or go to a car audio shop.

Its going to be one of three things:
Amp remote,
Illumination,
or Power Aerial
Plug it into the car and see what is on the end of it. Run a multimer between it and the body. Try it at no clicks on the ignition, 1 click and then 2 clicks and let mem know what the output is. Also if your multimeter can do buzz checks try buzzing it between the wire and the chassis to prove it isnt a ground.

Cheers for the reply, but it weren't any of them - it was a mute wire, to cut of the stereo when a mobile rings, in case anyone wanted to know
