What power am i looking at??
Alright people as you might of seen got me new FRST on saturday although it wasnt a good day but will have it sorted soon but am just curious at what power am looking at with it.
I have a rolling road print out for 166bhp that was just with
Full system 4inch turbo back exhaust
Kent Cam
and he said 165 chip but think its a 195 chip
Now it has
Full system 4inch turbo back exhaust
Kent Cam
and he said 165 chip but think its a 195 chip
plus T3 turbo conversion
and pace intercooler
running 15psi
been told am looking atleast 195bhp so just curious what everyone else thinks

Even with a pump and injectors that pace intercooler will restrict power due to it not being much better than a std intercooler.

You had a 4" system made for a FRST? Overkillmaaaaaaaania!
I sincerely hope you've uprated the injectors and fuel pump, otherwise as said, and with that intercooler, power won't be going much past 170bhp. At least that'd be a 4bhp gain I suppose

Fezzy Turbo does the Pace Intercooler really restrict the power??? I kinda had a similar spec with out the cam and i was hoping for 200 bhp but i couldnt manage to get past 172bhp @ 15 psi and the power was only upto around 4900rpm wouldnt go passed that.
Didnt know wtf to do was told to get a boost controller and that should sort the problem out never got around to doing that cuz my engine let go but just wanted to know if that Pace had any part in them low power figures????

m4frd :the bigger the better on the i/c side mate
Dont know matey, after searching through this site ive read that its not really about having a bigger i/c kinda, its how efficent and good the core etc is.
Like yeh the PACE one is bigger than the standard cooler but it anint supposed to be good passed a certain point or boost levelbut i never really thought it would've restricted me on the power if that was the cause.
Anyway i anint gonna change the topic now and write a full eassy on about the Pace i/c, ill just spend my time searching for a frount mount

Yeah the pace intercooler will restrict your power, as mentioned it wont take much more than 14psi on a T2, never mind a T3. Its when it hits high pressures/volumes of air it ceases to cool it enough which means the ACT's will rise and you lose power.
