what really is the best cooler to go for?
right after speaking to a few companys this morn i have been getting mixed feedback about my ideas of having a cossie intercooler made up, pace say that it can be done and i can have it all done by taking the car to them and they doing the cooler, fitting and doing boost piping...
however a couple iof the other comopanies have said that i really hould go front mount and that it doesnt make a great deal of diff to the rad temps etc...
what are people's opinions?
should i stick with it and get a cossie cooler mad or for say £25 more get a full front mount?
not to keen on the pro alloy one tho as it doesnt fill the whole front up just sort of sits in middle from looks!
however which one is best?
RADTEC?
Pro alloy?
or the custom size one that gav had GRS make?

Any of them should be able to make an intercooler to your own design, you have to get it right though. There are a surprising number of things to take into consideration! Wouldn't the Cosworth cooler be front-mounted anyway?

i bet if pace fitted the 4wd cooler, would probably cost u the same to buy a big front mount!
cant u do fit a 2wd yourself like rawli ? its the cheapest option and v.good value for money
heeman - dunno if its the angle of the pic but isnt the end tank of the right a bit small ?

Pro allopy do the front mount and the larger side munt that can be used.
Some of the tests done recently show the pro alloy cooler as being No1 choice.
If you do decide on a pro alloy let me know as all FT members are entitled to a discount from me as per post on General forum

i think they may hav finished yours as i rang up today and asked about measurements etc and said you had said to call because you werent sure of measurements off hand... they joked that it was done and cant bloody change it now! so seems like it will be on its way!
the fact of a small end tank may be that it speeds up the air in that area as small space = greater pressure and faster flowing!
going to order mine tomorrow to same design as yours!

Haha! Well cheers for letting me know about that! They must hate me so much Good guys though Higher pressure = lower speeds, but I'll just have to see how it performs on the road. I'm only running 1 bar for a while, so it doesn't have to be superamazing to deal with that

good point! but you know what i meant... u go into a restriction and the flow of air speeds... so hopefuly its on that principal!
from what i gathered its finished, but dont quote me on that! yeah m only going to be running 16psi max! so should be more than up to the job!!!
