just wonderd what power zetec heads are good for with 20psi and 7.7:1c/r and a t34 blower cosie greens and omex

lets say im having a re think because at the moment i have acralites from burtons and i have to use a head gasket so thick that it's like a bloody decompression plate

so im just wondering what a std zetec head/130ps cams can do with lots of boost shoved up its ass and a nice c/r :D

so post your expert opinions please :)

Forgive me for saying so but you're likely to get a lot of BS answers by posting on here. While there's a lot of knowledgable people on this forum there's also a lot of people who talk bull.

What trim is the turbo ? What injectors, etc. You're on Omex 500 management right ? FWIW I'd talk to hands on tuners, there are a few people who really know their stuff but you're better seeking them out and asking rather than doing a post in general.

Speaking of which, this is off to tuning, no offence, but you're likely to get a better (more informed) result in there.
Nothing to see here...

turbo has the largest exhaust housing to keep the elbow and a t34 compressor wheel with a 360 deg thrust bairing cosie greens

i mainly want to get an idea how much power the zetec head can flow with 130ps cams so i can decide weather its worth shelling out shed loads of cash on porting

im hoping to run atleast 20psi

Let's put it this way. The ERST exhaust manifold flows about 320bhp, do you want to be aiming much higher than that? As andy says, you really shouldn't go by answers you get on a forum like this with such technical questions. The only people you should be talking to are people who have done this themselves, a lot of times, and know the results.

well with steel rods there is no physical reason you couldnt run 2 bar of boost i dont think you can reach 300bhp barrier unless you run big boost, why dont you get the head ported... 350bhp is your limit with the escort exhaust manifold i can see the torque being huge but because of the lack of air flow the engine wont reach its full Potential, but with a ported head wild cams 350bhp easily achieveable , get the cheque book out :) power with your current spec i say around 270bhp and 320fbt :Q
