Personally i wouldnt touch xplop from my experience. Id try something along the lines of JBL, Pioneer or Vibe, Bassboy will be able to tell thee more as hes pretty good with that kind of budget :)

Doesnt say what the sensitivity is though, so with 100w short it may not perform too well...what for some1 whos owned one to give you an idea of the sorta power that its gona need 2 start pumping like a gooden

Its a dual 4 ohm. He could save up for a new amp when he has more money. I have two 15" and the rock!

I said sensitivity not impedence

Adding a second amp takes alot of work and expense...i.e. you have to upgrage wiring from battery to dizzy, then buy a dizzy block, plus wiring for the new amp (earth etc) etc

Ah ok, doh! Im not saying add another amp, he could just replace the one he has already, thats what i meant. The sub is abit too powerful for the amp yeh, but if he's planning to have a nice system, and plans to extend it in the future, the alpine would be the one to go for.

I think the sensitivity is 88/89db

Thats quite a low sensitivity TBH, so with that amount of power he wouldnt necessarily get the most out of the sub :)
