what to do next
hi so far with the xr2i i,ve got a full s/s scorpion with 3" tail, k&n induction kit with cold air feed to it, head has been skimmed, wot else would give it a little bit more power put a power boost valve on but didnt like the way the petrol was going down so removed it

depends on what your after mate, if your wanting alot of power, change the engine, if not, then as suggested, a cam/cams and remap will get you some extra kick

it,s the 1,6 8v model dont get me wrong is pretty nippy but just want more, you know wot it,s like was thinking on a turbo lump but it,s trying to get a good un

well to be honest mate the 8v is alot easier then the 16v to get uprated cams for and there a bit cheaper i think . theres kent cams/piper cams/newmans cams ect..

the n/a cvh isnt worth spending money on really. odds are it will have been ragged all its life too. I would recommend fitting either an rst engine or a 2.0 zetec. Both will give you a hell of alot more power than you can get from your current engine.

better for what? tuning potential? reliability? fuel consumption? availability?
If your after huge tuning potential id say the frst engine is better. If your after everyday reliability and useable power id say go for a zetec, they are also quite a bit cheaper to buy.

is the mondeo zetec the same as the fiesta one apart from it,s a 2.0 rather tha a 1.8

go for the 2.0 zetec mate, 130 bhp, usable torque, and more reliable, and will have scope for further tuning should you need it.
