depends on what your after mate, if your wanting alot of power, change the engine, if not, then as suggested, a cam/cams and remap will get you some extra kick

what engine do you have ?

well to be honest mate the 8v is alot easier then the 16v to get uprated cams for and there a bit cheaper i think . theres kent cams/piper cams/newmans cams ect..

the n/a cvh isnt worth spending money on really. odds are it will have been ragged all its life too. I would recommend fitting either an rst engine or a 2.0 zetec. Both will give you a hell of alot more power than you can get from your current engine.

would it be easier to build a turbo engine if i was able to source the parts or look for a full engine and get it rebuilt

better for what? tuning potential? reliability? fuel consumption? availability?

If your after huge tuning potential id say the frst engine is better. If your after everyday reliability and useable power id say go for a zetec, they are also quite a bit cheaper to buy.

go for the 2.0 zetec mate, 130 bhp, usable torque, and more reliable, and will have scope for further tuning should you need it.
yes the mondeo one is what you need
