my recommendation wasnt on that list!

for your information my top choice is the goodyear eagle f1, fantastic tyre in wet and dry with an awesome lifespan.

of your list though id go toyo t1-s everytime
red xr2i, 2.0 ltr, superchip, magnex system, 2wd cossie brakes on there way- soon to be on throttle bodies and megasquirt

after over a year sat in the yard she gets some attention! :D

hi!

i tried falken, it wasn´t a good tyre,
i have driven only 5000km on my 1,6 focus,
now i´ve got the dunlop sp9000
it made hard driven 20.000km
thats a good allday tyre with much grip in wet and dry! :D

i also tried the goodyear eagle f1,
near the sp9000,but the last 3mm it was very loud

i heard good things about the toyo t1s,
its a very soft tyre(max 5000km),
good for trackdays,
but not cheap and only for weekends :D

I need to get the ones with the most grip, as i'm yet to fit a limited slip diff box yet, and its quite hard to get the power down at the moment.....

i've been reading and the toyo t1-s look the best at the moment... the shop near me dont stock eagle f1's anymore for some reason

grip?

the best tyre for grip is yokohama parada
but i think the parada is only 16" upwards

http://www.yokohama.at/modules.php?name ... icle&sid=8

or the yokohama A038 should also be very good

http://www.yokohama.at/modules.php?name ... cle&sid=11

you should drive only on warm day (20degree)
on coulder days its dangerous to drive!

The toyos are grippy off the line but apperntly they have a sidewall problem. There was big post on pasion ford about them flexing to much causing the car to wollow about. THe new version is worse than the old and i gotta say its osunds true wht there saying as i fitted a full new set before i went to brunters and found them feeling a bit funny at high speed and the backend was sliding out unusually on the tight corner (was quite fun actually) . Seemed to get better after id run them in though

Dont know if a wider tyre will fit or not but if you do go wider it will make the handling worse!

I've got Toyo Proxes fitted on my lowly Si. I had them on my Fiat Coupe and they were very very good. They aren't expensive so they are the only ones I get fitted on any of my cars.

i recommend nang kang ns1 or 2's. superb tyres in wet and dry although can be bit pricey. if you can afford it, get them.

best tyres, only use them ones.

You have to be kidding. Nang Kangs have to be th eworst tyre I have ever used apart from Marshall's.

I've just put a full set of Avon ZV3 225/45/17 on my Audi so will report once I've got some miles in on them so far things look nice.

I use Yoko A539 on the FRST and would rate them as acceptable although take care in th ewet (shouldn't you anyway?). I have Yoko Parada's on the Escort and they stick like poo to a blanket. Don't know what they are like in the wet as the car isn't used in the wet. Used them in very low temps at Bedford in Feb and once some heat had built up in them they gripped just fine.

Can highly recomend the Goddyear Eagle F1's, my fathers company did some research on this tyre and it did exceptionally well. 8)

yeah but i bet they werent the ns1s as all the other nank kangs are pretty poor. i think a set of ns1's for any fiesta suit perfect, never had any problems watsover and they last longer than any other tyre i have used. and believe me they go through paces at a number of track days and still last.

They were indeed the NS-1 and they didn't even last 12 months. The compound was too hard and I found the tyre to lack feel on the limit. Certainly not a tyre I would consider for fast road use let alone circuit driving.

Only had them last time as the car needed two tyres and it was all that was available so I didn't have much choice.
