whats better? alarm with built in or seperate imobo
Hi all
wonder if any one can tell me whats better?
an alarm with intigrated imobolisor like selca fm7.11
or installing the seperate selca imbolisor and a seperate alarm?
which would offer more security?
cheers

I would say seperate as potential theives have to break two systems. If you have a combined unit and they short out the alarm system the immo would go down too, unless they are seperate control modules.
Quick and funny immobiliser: (true story)
My dad's dad used to install a stopcock designed for water pipes into the fuel line. The tap came up under the seats. He turned this off when he left the car and it stopped the flow of fuel into the engine - thieves may get the car but sure couldn't drive it very far, as the fuel in front of the stopcock would only last a few yards!!
Hope this helps,
Nick

Imo i cant see it making a lot of difference.
A well installed unit will be more much safer/more secure than a poorly installed one.
