shannon...good spec mate ;) will be even better once u get that box in there :Q

right my spec goes a bit like this:

Pioneer 7500DVD Mk1 headunit/screen/dvd player

Orion 1600.2 - 420wrms x 2 @ 2ohms (runs my mids at 2ohms)...actually am feeding them 478wrms x 2!!

Rainbow CMX 465 extreme front components - 2 6.5" midbass and 1 set of tweeters

2 Orion D5000 amplifiers - 2500wrms @ 1 ohm @ 13.4v (mine are run at 14-14.4v so around 2600-2700wrms per amp!)

2 Orion H2 15" dual 2 subwoofers - 2000wrms each...im feeding them around 2500wrms if not more

Sub box is a 'bassboy' box with a letterbox style port...is about 6-7cuft and tuned in the LOW 30's ;) FULLY braced internally and the usual bassboy touches ;)

Cabling is taken care of the following:

split charge system, linking all batteries, charging lead etc is 1/0 gauge cabling! - 1/0 is just thicker than 0g

cabling into all my amps are 4 gauge via Connection fuse holders (1/0g in and 4g out) and d/blocks

speaker cabling is 12g Rockford Fosgate twisted pair cabling (9.41+VAT per meter!)...and there is about 30m of it in the car pimsle!

sub cabling is 8g power cable :Q

RCA's are Rockford Fosgate white wolf RCA's - try £30+VAT per meter!! must be about 20m in the car!

power supply is taken care by 1 transit diesel battery in the front and 3
Optima Yellow Tops in the boot

180amp alternator

i THINK thats it LOL

alpine cda7873 head unit-oldie but goodie!!
fusion encounter front components-s**t but only 40 quid from halfrauds
day to day amp-vibe monobox3
day to day sub-vibe flitrap 10

bit of fun amp- DLS CAD11
bit of fun subs-2x 12inch alpine type S (soon to be replaced)

reason why i have 2 systems is
a)my 2 12s and dls are worth more than the car so don't get left in
b)weigh the arse end down loads and don't help handling, especially roundabouts etc

Only just got my fiesta, so its not all in yet,

But,

Alpine CDA 9853, going upgrade shortly though
CDT Audio cl-51 audiophile speakers in front, but going for the £600 Eurosports soon

have CDT 6x9 comps in the shelf too, they may be coming out though, not decided yet

speakers are being ran of my West Coast Customs 1600.4, think its about 135 watt rms each side, that may even be at 12/13v too,

Then for the sub, West Coast Customs D5000 On my Orion H2 15(which is is a nice box, double skinned, braced inside etc) :Q , Amp will be running around 2.5k rms i believe

got another D5000 too, not sure if i will use that on another H2 though,

Then ive just got an optima yellow top under the bonent,
soon will have 0awg running all through the car, then if i can get away with it, ill use 0awg direct into the amps with reducers on them

and possible split charge system

If your thinking about getting another D5000, taking the total power to 5kw then id seriously think about getting thicker wire than 0AWG, becuase once you start running a dizzy block your going to have to pass 2.5kw through 2AWG  Enjoy your fire display :aaah:

How much do those Orion D5000 amps cost?

Ive got,

Alpine cda9821 cd player
Apline type r 6.5" component speakers in custom door pods
All good quality speaker cable
Maxima excide 900dc battery
IM using 2 ag and 4ag autoleads competition wiring kits (only one cable from the battery)
4 way autoleads gold distribution block
Amps are hidden behind rear quater pannels in metal cages
I have a 2 channel magnat ( i think) 2x80rms p0wering the front speakers
Directed 1100d powering subs. HAs to be run in slave mode so have to use headunit settings to control crossover as amp is damaged (off ebay, didnt test it in time)
two 15" alpine type r subs 500rms each, in custome sub boxes prorted with some drainage tubes and volume reduced with lots of cans of expanding foam.
I did have better amps, but my car got done over and had lots stollen, hence them now being hidded and in cages. Basicly all they left was my battery, cables, and sub cos the boxes were seriously strapped together, and too big to take out together!
Image
Just because I keep talking about definetly doing it doesn't mean I'm actualy going to do it.

6x0s are crap dont get them!! as for speakers in the rear of the car not worth having them on [ERRR] music is recorded in left and right, not front and back, so if anything your guna have a s**t sounding system and it may sound louder but doesnt mean there is any quality

Bit of a sweeping statement if you are referring to 6*9's that is ;)

As with most things in life they are set up dependent. If you have no subwoofer then they can add some much needed bass, or they can be used as door speakers with a LPF, or as part of a surround sound system, the list goes on...

Kenwood KDC-W7531 headunit

JBL 5.25" Component speakers
JBL 5.25" Coaxials
JBL GTO1200B- In Factory Ported box
Kicker KX-300.2 mono Amp, giving 300w RMS

Quite fancy adding a 4 channel amp, and having everything amped. At present my speakers are each getting 30w RMS from the headunit, that's 1/10th of the subwoofers power!
