got a stock pile of Kenwood bits

KDC-PSW9521 head unit
3 Amps 1x KAC-PS301T, 2x KAC-PS201T
Front Speakers KFC-HQ698
Rear Speakers KFC-HQ718
Subs 2x KFC-W1204DB

had this system for a while just ran the two amps for rear speakers & Subs, Going for fitting the third to power the front 6x9's I've aquired.

Would this create any battery problems?

Easiest & Cheapest suggestions would be helpful cheers

Theres only one way to find out...

As a rule of thumb, you wont need another battery until you reach around 1000w RMS, but it depends on the health of your battery and just as importantly your alternator.

I've got a Solid Audio F2500 running a 18" RE HC.

Bassboy, the orions are over-rated, your not getting 2500wrms.

A little change since last time

Kenwood KDC-W7531 headunit

Phoenix Gold QX5 Component speakers up front
JBL 5.25" Coaxials at the rear
JBL GTO1200B- In Factory Ported box
Kicker KX-300.2 mono Amp, giving 300w RMS
Phoenix gold QX4150 4 channel for comps and coaxs (sadly dead though  )

So i'm on the lookout for another 4 channel as i've all the wiring in place already, looking for around 500-600w RMS in total with my sub. Will put the PG amp on ebay spares or repair and try and get some money back.

Anyone know of any good 4 channel amps? restricted to 4AWG wires though and the Kicker already asks for a 50A current! What's the max 4 AWG can take over 5metres? :-?

4 Gauge should have a 120A fuse, regardless of wire length. If you have a split charge system(distribution block) then you will need additional fuses etc

Thanks, Good news that 4 guage can take 120A, I have this running from the battery, with a (100A circuit breaker instead of a fuse) into a fused distribution block with short runs of 8 gauge going to each amp.

No problem...have you fused the 8gauge wire as well? They can only take 50A so it might be a good idea, unless you fancy a fire in your boot :o

Looks good, great choice of kit, but I would ditch the caps, as they will do more harm than good to your system :)
