Wheel Studs to short with 17s ?

Postby unknown_user on Thu Feb 19, 2004 8:30 pm

Iv Got a 1.6 Si with 17's in ET40 offset... i have no spacers at they are fine, however im buying some mondeo V6 ST24 Calipers and discs 2morra.

And wondered if the wheel studs are going to be long enough? if there spaced say anouther 5mm'ish? if not How do i go about fitting longer studs? and where would you buy them from? (or what car do i get them from)....

Thanks

hmmmmm as mondeos run longer studs than fiestas u might find that ur orginal fiesta studs wont be long enough!

Best bet is to pop into ford and get them to order some only a couple of quid for 4 so wont cost u a shed load but will allow more bolt to be screwed onto!

Not sure how u wud fit them on the front check out the haynes but the rears are very easy! just unscrew the rear wheel hub and get a hammer to the front of the hub and smack the bolts they quickly drop out allowing the new ones to be fitted in the reverse way!
