my headunit does not have pre outs so i can either use

or

with a line level converter

anyone know how good these are? any recommendations?

TBH I would go into motorworld/halfrauds or whoever sells them and try them out for yourself, granted they will sounds different when actually in your car, but its worth it. Or I would try and find someone that has one and ask to hear it.
