I have recently purchased an escort si 1.8 16v (115ps) and was wondering what conbinations of exhaust and induction kit would either sound the best or give me the best performance?

Scorpion, Magnex or mongoose

Pipercross or K&N

And Finally, i have heard various statements about the power boost valves are the any good and worth purchasing??

any advise would be greatfull

You will get many different answers on this one because there really is no 1 right answer. I'd say Scorpion and K&N. RE: power boost valves, again you will get mixed responses. I say go for it!

Powerboost valve will just overfuel the car unless it is setup on rollers..

Go for Mongoose or Magnex they are a lot less restrictive than the Scorpion.

I think i might go for a 4" magnex and a pipercross induction kit and purchase a power boost valve and then get it setup on a rollin' road

I'd say get a superchip as well and then get it set up on the rolling road. I hate boost valves!

Just my ten-penneth worth!!!
