Which Components?

Postby t.hooper on Wed Jun 06, 2007 1:55 pm

I want to put some new comps straight into my Mk5 without having to do any door builds, they be running off an Alpine 9855R...

I was thinking about these Infinity: Reference 5010cs - 13cm components

How hard will they be to fit, will they slot right in with an adapter?

Thanks :) [/url]

thanks for the reply bassboy, £80, i know its not much, its actually an exchange for some alpine coxials that were £79.99, I then realised that I'd much rather get some comps. They were form CarAudioSecurity so I sorta need to get some comps from them, If I need to I can just get refunded but would rather not...

cheers

Thats good to know,

could you tell me if they'll slot right into my front door panels (mk5) without needing to do any door builds or any of that?

thanks bassboy

fitting speakers into door

Postby ~ John Reid ~ on Sun Jun 10, 2007 11:49 pm

when you take the old ford speakers out the door. the holes wont line up so you can do what i did and use a drill and drill new holes which worked fine ( bit of a bodge job, i drilled holes through the metal as its a inner layer of metal and doesnt damage the outside of the door ).

or go out ans get the speaker adapters from any car audio store.
