Sunny - firstly, you'll notice from my previous post that I said that it would be an interesting race between a 1900 T3 spec FRST and you _OLD_ spec (i.e. current) engine. I don't doubt the power of your car - I'm sure it's supremely fast, and you really should come over and take me for a spin, as offered in the past - but so are some of Ahmed's 1900 T3 creations, and more so his 2100 16V T3 (Paul J's for one). Sunny - no one is "...bringing you down to my mate's one is quicker than yours!...". I just said it would be a good race to watch! Oh, and for the record, that's your _OLD_ spec (i.e. currently in your car) engine!!

As for not having anything to prove, I couldn't agree more. But if you (and/or bassboy) do like to brag about your current setup and especially your new setup, expect to be challenged! And what better place than either Santa Pod and/or a track day?! "If you seriously knew anything about hi-perfomance tuning and specs - after you find out what my new engine consists of - you wouldn't even bring this topic up!!" .... err, we're talking about your _OLD_ engine (third time lucky...hopefully the point will sink in now!). The performance of your NEW engine is a given....

The "sh*t loads of money" comment stands, but was not intended as a slur on you, as you should well know. It was a general observation that certain individuals think the way forward can be fixed with wads of cash, both on the road and in racing, and time after time they have been proved wrong.

im not taking sides caus i know both James and Sunny, and thk both r tops, and so r their cars, both wicked in different ways.

changing the subject a little, does any1 know how much bhp (roughly) u lose from a couple of subs and MDF boot build etc.

U aint gonna lose [ERRR] bhp...just ur gonna have a hell of a lotta more weight to pull by the engine...but i know for a fact u will lose a fair amount of acceleration...especially if u go for a big ICE install!! dont forget, boxes can be the equivilat to 2,3even 4 people!! on top of that u get the car fully loaded with people as well...just imagine the amount of extra weight!!

but it all depends on the thickness off the wood, whether or not u use dynamat, etc etc

Neither.

Both BHP and torque can be calculated on an engine dyno, when the engine is out of the car and therfore has no weight to pull.

Your power to weight ratio will be reduced, if that's what you're thinking of?

power to weight must have been that, mental block earlier

along a similar line does any1 know how aerodynamic a standard FRST is compared to other cars like escorts etc, i was looking for proper test results not guess and observations

Do you have any idea what 178.8mph feels like in a Fiesta? 2000 lb of pressure per square inch per second pushing back on your face. It feels like god himself is trying to rip the skin off your skull while someone lands a 747 on your chest.

ksurman - where abouts from them sides are you from? - I used to work near there in Wokingham (nuff pubs, wicked) - if your a proper gal racer like the rest of them there you might know my mate Gemma G (red nova, large assists - sorry, it's only way I think I can describe her at the mo!)
Also, went to a club down them sides a little while back called Euthopia or sommin - had better days but was alright I suppose (probably cause I was mashed as usual) -

Bassboy speaks REALLY highly of you! - are the rumours true?? - he is also here

Get Back!

Sunny.

And so he should speak highly of me!!!!
I am NOT a Wokingham girl racer.... I have a class car and its beginning to look wicked, and I race or should I say BEAT the lads!
Where we all meet up is in Winnersh which is just down the road from Wokingham, (its the next junction down from wokingham on the A329) We all meet up in the overflow carpark of the showcase cinema, its a good laugh come down!!! I would love to see your car and would appreciate some advice for my baby, as he's getting there!!!

Sunny wants to know whether that is a proper link up as in an organised cruise, or just a 'friends' gathering?
