Ian FRST :2 litre 16v turbo mate!!!
That's not one of the options.
Depends if you want a mild increase but a base for big power or a fair bit more power straight off.

Sorry guys should have put the whole story down.. bit drawn out but may make more sense.
Had 2I 8v since new all the way back in 1991, last year the engine went funlumps up and was rebuilt… think it was just the top end ???? I have been reliably informed that the gearbox lay shaft bearing is going and can feel much wobble through the wheel/gearstick on acceleration. The handling is also poo but I’m putting that down to knackered shockers since they are still the original ones.
Basically I’m after more power as I’m getting greedy.. never though I’d see it be slow but the other two cars I drive (106gti and 2.2 astra) are putting it to shame.
The down side is that I’m a student ergo skint , have got a bit of cash set aside but not a huge amount so the cheapest option would be the favourite. Thankfully I do have age on my side and @ 25 with full ncd and no points insurance isnt a huge concern .. although don’t wanna get too stung.
Thanks for reading this saga and hope you can help me out
