Which injectors fit in the standard zetec fuel rail

Postby The Gilly on Sat Feb 02, 2008 12:26 am

i am only looking for about 200bhp. Ideally I'd have liked to have used beige injectors but I understand they are not the correct fitment.

My inlet is a rs1800 item. I would like to use the original fuel rail.

Would injectors from a focus rs fit?

Am I looking for side fed injectors?

Cheers

Gilly

Yeah, you need side-fed... The Focus RS injectors are end-fed, unfortunately.

There's a lot of talk of 200sx injectors being used these days as these are side-fed :)

If you are NA you will never get near 200 bhp with the RS1800 inlet. If turbo you are probably better of with a new fuel rail and using standard bosh fitment injectors in the long run.

I'm using standard S14 370cc injectors in an RS1800 manifold/fuel rail. We machines up a small plastic washer that basically stops the boost pushing past the o'rings. Others haven't bothered but we did just to be on the safe side.

Found the following on another forum....

Nissan KA24DE Side feed 270cc High S13/S14

Few question on this:

where were these washer fitted?

Did you replace your o rings?

On the bottom of the injector do you leave the original end cap?

Cheers
