Which injectors for Zetec manifold when Turbocharging?
I may be buying a 1.8 Escort Si with the metal Zetec inlet manifold, but I don't know which injectors to use on it or what the standard injectors are capable of as my last Zetec turbo conversion used a moddified CVH EFi manifold with beige injectors and they are not compatible with the Zetec's original manifold.
Does anyone know if I will have problems keeping the power steering?
Failing the turbo route, are there any decent power gains to be had on the 130ps Zetec even if switching to the 2 litre?

Hi fella,
Standard Zetec 1800/2.0L injectors should fuel up to the limits of the FRSt standard ones, so around 180bhp at a push.
See the Zetec Turbo FAQ in the Guides forum (specifically, see http://www.zetec-turbo.co.uk ) regarding the fuel rail, or use Motoguzzi-style side feds (Ahmed can supply) for around £100-£150 per injector (!).
130ps 1800 is around 120ft lbs torque and 129bhp. 2.0L is listed as 133ish ft lbs and 132bhp, so it's your call. Both engines, afaik, use the same (or as near identical as dammit) cams (on the same revisions, e.g. series 1 "DOHC", series 2 "Zetec", series 3 Fuh'cass black top).

It turns out that the Si i've provisionally bought may only be a 115ps version as it's a '96(N) cabriolet and UKcar.co.uk only list it as 115ps so I may have to do the trottle body mod 1st, but what i'll probably do if I don't sell my Mk4 Zetec turbo is to fit the FRST ECU and MAP in the Si and see if I can get it running right before deciding how far to take the Si turbo conversion.
