which inlet?

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

which inlet?

Postby demolition_man on Wed Dec 14, 2005 2:25 pm

Which would be the best inlet manifold for a cvh fiesta turbo *hopefully* running over 250bhp?

I dont want the charge carrier going over the top, so would an rs1600i manifold fit and flow well enough?

Alternatively will the rover turbo inlet fit?

What other options are there?

Thanks a lot

Std FRST inlet manifold doesnt flow equally on its 4 primarys. Also, the plenum its too small for good smooth power.

RS1600i uses MFI, so it doenst fit straight away EFI injectors. I've seen other MFI's inlet manifolds sorted to fit EFI injectors so I belive that the RS1600i inlet manifold can also be moded.
Also, the RS1600i plenum design its better than the FRST one but it also doesnt provide equal flow on its 4 primarys.

The only way to choose the best Ford inlet for the cvh its to test them all on a flowbench. Dont know if anyone (ian howel, ahmed, norris, etc) has already done it... if not: THEY SHOULD!
