Which motor (1.6L max) should i replace my 1.3i with?
Hi guys
First post wee
I own a 1.3i Fiesta Mk3, but the 60 bhp is to slow for me, so a replacment of a bigger/faster motor seems to be the answer. But first i have some questions..
'90 1.3i -> ??? ... Is the CVH 1.4i any good? I mean will a feel a increase in power or is it to little to sense? I also were thinking of a CVH 1.6i from a Escort 1992+ with 105 bhp, is there a lot of trouble fitting that or is it a clean switch? I hope you could give me some ideas about what motor to use and why. I would rather prefer a motor where i don't have to replace that much, tank, wires etc. Last i were thinking if a bigger motor also increase the total weight of my fiesta a lot??
Thank you in advance

Xr2/1.6s 1.6 CVH Carb.
Very little needed to do the change, but as your is CFi, you wll need to chnage the fuel pump etc. If you do this conversion on a 1.3 carb, there is very little you have to change!
The added benfitr of this, is that you don't have to replace the entire bloody engine loom at the same time!
