so im gonna treat her 2 a rebuild.....

im not 2 bothered about cost..... AS ID RATHER PAY MORE 2 HAVE THE JOB DONE PROPERLY......

i want done asap.....

Well to cut along story short fella, A mate of mine bought an engine from these monkeys, it passed through my hands but I never fitted it and I sold it to a mate in my club.

He spent hours of course fitting the said engine into his S2 Escort, only to find an oil return pipe slightly loose on the rear of the block, he went to tighten it and the whole of the bit he was tightening just fell out

Specialised engines had CHEMICAL METALED the said piece into the block and painted over it !! the previous owner to me, myself and my mate had no ideal until he fitted it, the block is basically scrap now and he is in the process of sourcing another block.

So as I say, what a bunch of cowboys !!

Blimey! Fair play. I have to say in their defence that they built me an engine for the Capri which was both fast and strong, although that said, it did sound a bit rattly at idle and always hunted, which was a pain at times. But it was a good engine, so I think they do get it sort-of right sometimes!

All that having been said though, if I was going to go for another rebuild, I'd probably try somewhere else to see whether there was any difference.

i agree jano knows his stuff and isnt espensive...you should know what his engines are like... you just sold one...

send your engine away to someone with a good reputation, postage through a courier should be less than 60 quid
Try the back of some ford mags to see who there is

thats y im asking for a good place with a good rep... so i can just give it 2 them and hopefully it will be in safe hands

I would go to Grove mate. If you want a job done a gooden got to the best - just book it in soon as!

I had a 1.9 tall block fitted at Specialised Engines and even they claim Grove and Ahmed are the 'boys'

hi m8 im a mecanical technition i have rebuilt quite a few engines rangine from 125bhp mini engines to 300bhp zetec turbos i could do it cheaper than anyone else as a private cash job if u like not to far away either
