Why arnt there more stickys?
Ive noticed recently especially in the technical forums, and styling etc, very similer questions being asked, over and over again, and very similer responses i.e use the search facility.
Maybe if we made some more stickys on very populur subjects such as can you put an xr2i bodykit on a 5 door, and so on will save people having to post things that have already been dealt with hundreds of times?
Just a thought and im sure this has been brought up before, but I think it might be worthwhile addressing it again!
Thanks!

too many Sticky's looks silly in my opinion. But i guess the bigger the site gets the more there will be. But along with this u'll have to expect the same questions being asked.

The search isnt always alot of help [ERRR] there is like 600 asking the same thing.
I think that guide that was posted the other day about replacing the fuel filler quarter pannel was good.

I think if their are going to be Sticky's they should incorporate certains mods i.e. a Sticky for Bodywork, one for Engine's etc... to consolodate and keep them few.

yes converting things like the filler cap guide which I also agree was excellent would and will be very useful to have on the site, aswell as the post on how to fit a bodykit to a 5 door, etc, etc and are all very useful, and help out people with these common problems!

Ok, how about someone goes through a forum and picks out some of the most common problems, and then finds the best thread that answers it. Put all these thread links together with a brief description of each one, e.g:
How to replace the fuel filler cap area (welding and spraying experience required) - <link>
The more links the better
I can then make it sticky and it can be added to in future.
It's not a great solution but it's a start, no?

I don't know about everyone else but I think the sticky threads are a pain in the ass - maybe a couple for shows etc or whatever is important.
They clutter up the top of the screen and I fiond myself ignoring everything above the normal posts.
How about another section for guides/.how to's etc - that would be much more organized.

Yep Al thats sounds fair enuff ! however like excursion i think they would be betta in a seperate forum of how to .. or FAQs ! I'll have a look round in the next couple of days for the most common problems and solutions then if they are typed up as a new thread they can be put in a seperate forum ! Maybe even have them as set posts so no2 can reply to them
