hi all ive just been given a carb and exhaust manifold from a escort 1.4 will these two items bolt straight onto my 1.3 mk3.5 and will they improve performance at all

wont this take my car to about 1.4 as im using the carb and exhaust manifold so ill be getting more fuel/air due to bigger carb and the exhaust gases will escape quicker due to wider manifold designed to work with the carb

dude, the only way is to get a bigger engine. you can do all sorts of expencive stuff for very very little improvement if ya want.

just stick a K&N in there, maybe change the ignition leads. thats about it.. oh and power flow exhaust system. all that will give you.... ooo..... about 2hp gain if your lucky :D

you could alway's get rid of everything inside the car sept the drivers seat and the dash. that wopuld make it lighter...

A 1.4 would be a CVH, and a 1.3 a HCS I would imagine without knowing exactly, the manifolds are different and just wouldnt fit.
