I want some power from my Si. the 1.6 zetec is as fast as an xr2i but that is it, it will cost at least £2500 to get a turbo put on the zetec and plus there is the question of reliability.will it be able to fit a nice new fiesta rs turbo engine and what would i need to change to get it running, plus does anyone know someone who would do it and a rough idea of cost, cheers lads

You can have power steering luckily - you will need all the mounting brackets (for both the pump and the whole engine) and pipes for the power steering pump due to it being in a different location to the zetec.

If you use all the PTE engine mounts and brackets the engine will bolt straight into your car.

Ant, got for a larger capacity Zetec or a Zetec Turbo,

A cvh would be a backwards step

Zetec it, it`s not worth going for a cvh unless you have to(ie. insurance). If you get a cvh it`s probably gonna need a rebuild and if your going to run high boost then you`ll need alot of uprated items. I`ve probably spent £1000-1500 just on a rebuild with uprated items and thats with no labour costs. You`ve already got the management to run a zetec turbo, just need to chip it. As for reliability zetecs are bullit proof, cvh`s ain`t. Speak to Mike Gurney as he`s just gone down this route.
